The Safe Place MN
Youth ages 14–24 · Minneapolis

Dream beyond
the block.

A young person's environment should never get the final say in who they become. We want you here.

We create spaces where young people are seen, their gifts are nurtured, and they are exposed to possibilities beyond what they see every day.

Our story

Born and raised in North Minneapolis.

"I carry this community in my bones. For almost a decade, the idea for The Safe Place has been sitting on my heart: a space where inner-city youth could be seen, supported, guided and prepared to discover their strengths, explore careers and entrepreneurship, and begin creating something of their own."

"I want young people to dream beyond what they see on their block, and know their current circumstances do not have to determine the size of their future."
